My family would like to send our deepest condolences and sympathies to the entire Dela Cruz family. I am honored to say that Jason is my cousin-in-law, and that the kindness that he has always shown to my family will never be forgotten. He watched over my wife as they attended highschool together, and we are eternally grateful for that. Jason is a one of a kind gentleman, with the heart of a lion. Our thoughts & prayers will always be with the Dela Cruz family.

Love,

I am in shock. When I first transferred to San Mateo, JD was one of the first people to welcome me to the team, and was the nicest person. Over the years we had remained in contact. Last time I spoke with him was January, and I had no idea at that time that it would be the last time I would get a chance to speak with him. His passing was unfortunate and untimely, and he will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Jason De La Cruz (JD)

To the Dela Cruz Ohana:

My condolences go out to Jason's family and his many friends. May god be with you at this difficult time.

I've known Jason since elementary school and throughout our freshman year, I've since moved away...but never forgot about Jason. He wasn't easy to forget. When I first learned that God had called upon Jason to join him in his kingdom..the first memory of Jay that came to mind was his smile, his laughter and those big hugs. I'm sure he's still giving out them big hugs up there!

May you REST IN PARADISE, Jason!!!

With Deepest Sympathy and Prayers,

Alie, Lord, Triston & Christian

My family would like to send our deepest condolences and sympathies to the entire Dela Cruz family.

We had a chance to see Jason this past January and I keep playing that night, which would be the last time we would ever see him, over and over in my mind. And that moment will forever be held in my heart. We are so far away and wish we can be there for the family and to say goodbye to Jason. He was such a caring person, and you couldn't help but to be utterly happy when you were around him! James has many fond memories of Jason and I am glad that our kids had the chance to meet him too.

Mary & Kids, Aunty, Uncle, Jeremy & Family and Janelle & Family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We love you!

All my interactions with Jason were positive. He was a guy with a big heart and he played like a warrior on the court I've known him and Jeremy for nearly 20 years---always running into both of them around the neighborhood and while ballin'. My family and I would like to extend our most sincere condolences.

Mad Love,

The Solanoy Family

Though we never talked as much, like someone quoted, "you are not easy to forget." As I knew you, you were bright, handsome and friendly to all.

Many blessings to Mary and the children. I am sure your passing will be another chapter for the family to open and live with the Lord and you watching over them. Your presence will forever be in their hearts and may the Lord lead your family right back to you.

God Bless to the DeLaCruz family and prayers to God may his soul be rested upon you.

May this be a lesson to all that life cannot be taken advantage of and that we must live as it may be our last days. Love one another and let our lives be simple.

Again, prayers to the family and you will always be in the hearts and minds of many. Your passing definitely put a toll in the whole city itself and the positivity witnessed in your viewing was such a blessing for all to unite.

Make us room in heaven JD...

I was driving to work today..........and usually during my quiet moments while driving....I'll call my closest friends back home since I live in the ATL....it helps me feel closer to home when I speak to those that are close to my heart....today, I picked up the phone and realized I couldn't pick up the phone and call JaYD...I usually call him because he is very near and dear to my heart.....but today, all I can do is look up in the sky @ the sun setting thinking of him and I began to cry....it has only been a week and I'm still feeling very WEAK!!! I miss picking up the phone and calling him, or vice versa...most of the time our convos were short, but it always made me feel closer to home to hear his voice.....I MISS YOU JAY D!!!
